Killer Guitar Components is now taking that precedent into the 21st century by manufacturing brass components for an instrument that has rarely used any brass in its over 60 years of existence - the electric guitar. At KGC, it is our mission to utilize this most musical metal to the fullest by manufacturing sound and style enhancing components that look nice and sound even better!
We are a small, Father & Son company. We don't have huge, automated machines, lots of employees, or a list of 80's guitar legends that use our stuff - but we like it that way. This allows us to give the personal attention necessary to each order and inquiry. Our customers always come first and we will always do whatever we can to help you - no exceptions!
What we do have is the highest quality, most heavily researched and maticulously designed products available anywhere in the world. Killer Guitar Components is a custom component fabrication facility located in Gloucester/Magnolia, MA. Our owner and founder, Sandy Peek, is a lifetime guitar enthusiast and model-maker/prototype machinist. With the help of his son, Rick Peek, he has created some of the highest quality, heavily researched sound and style changing guitar components anyone has ever seen. Each of these components are hand-crafted, machined and rigorously inspected by Sandy and/or Rick themselves.

Sandy is KGC's Founder. He is a lifetime guitar enthusiast and former Berklee College of Music student who has been playing rock/blues on Strats for 40+ years. He also has a lifetime of experience in prototype machining and manufacturing. Putting the two of those together, Sandy has personally created some of the most innovative instrument components out there. Sandy is the brains behind all the components you see on this site. Rick Peek
Rick is KGC's VP and Head Sales Representative. Growing up in a household with Sandy, he not only learned the ins and outs of the music industry, but of manufacturing as well. Rick has spent time during his career in Marketing, Customer Service and as a Manufacturing/Engineering Technician. He takes care of most of the marketing and customer service inquiries for KGC at this time and has personally created this website along with many of the other business strategies used by KGC. The combination of knowledge and many years of experience that both Sandy and Rick have in different areas has helped create a passion to make a successful product line and a customer-oriented business. Two decades ago, Dave Dunwoodie, Graph Tech President, was mid-performance at a gig in his home town of Vancouver, Canada. Hitting the tremolo bar on his first Fender Strat (he was a Gibson man) during a guitar solo, he was immediately introduced to the problem of string binding on traditional guitar nuts. "I went to do my first big “wang” and went totally out of tune" Dave says. "I couldn't use the guitar for stage work at all".
Spurred by the resurgence in popularity of tremolo guitars, the need for pencil lead in the nut slots, and his own frustration, Dave began experimenting with a variety of composite guitar nuts designed to eliminate string binding before engineering the world’s first permanently-lubricated nut, a formula that is 500% slipperier than graphite. Dave has been "nuts" ever since, and more than twenty years later Graph Tech Guitar Labs has become an institution, producing some of the industry's most innovative and reliable nuts, saddles, bridge pins and pickup systems.
Through patented methods and proprietary techniques, Graph Tech has designed specific tone and performance enhancements that were once impossible to achieve.
